They say it takes a community to raise a child, but what about a garden?
Growing up on a farm you tend to take things for granted during that time. My parents and grandparents would roll over into their grave on a visit to a large chain store to buy a basket of blueberries today. Even I get squeamish looking at something that costs more than a few bucks today with less quality, from when I was a kid walking in to a garden that grew bigger every year and taking a bite out of a carrot and then throwing the rest to compost what you could not eat because it was the size of your arm.
Nowadays if you don't have that luxury of how many acres you want to choose to be your garden, but still yearn to plant and watch something grow then Urban Gardening, or Community Gardening is a feasible choice for us city dwellers.
